For those who don’t know me, I am Jen Scheer, better known as @flyingjenny on Twitter. I am a former space shuttle technician and I have recently moved on in search of my next great adventure. I am an artist and photographer, inventor, space advocate, and founder of the Space Tweep Society. I am on the Global Executive Team for Yuri’s Night, and also contribute to openNASA and Fragile Oasis. In addition, I am on the collectSPACE launch coverage team.

This blog is a renovated one- I was a daily blogger from about 2004-2008, and a few of those old posts have been moved here. In 2008 I discovered Twitter, and it became my favorite way of connecting with people online. Still, there are times when 140 characters just isn’t enough, so I thought I’d reinvent and revive this blog for the times I have something more to say.

Hello fellow KSC allumni! Just found your blog and your comments regarding our voluntary layoff were the same reasons I took the October layoff last year. I enjoy your posts and will start following you. Good luck in your post shuttle endeavours (spelled wrong intentionally).
